Consumer Focus Start-up

Goodbye - 26 September

Dear Colleagues,

As of 5.00 pm, Friday 26 September the offices of Postwatch, energywatch and the National Consumer Councils will close and we will reopen as Consumer Focus at 9.00 am on Wednesday 1 October.

Consumer Focus takes forward the very best of its predecessors, building on their knowledge and expertise, to create an organisation that provides a bigger, better voice for consumers. I would like to send a collective thank you to Postwatch, energywatch and NCC. Without their hard work we would not be able to build the Consumer Focus we want to.

While we will be building on their heritage of success, there will also be much that will be different. We will be working with a different remit, using research, lobbying and stakeholder influence to affect change. We will be working in different ways, in flexible teams, and our individual job roles will change.

Because of these differences, some of us will be joining our new organisation and others will not. I am very much looking forward to working with my new colleagues, but I am also very sad to have to say goodbye to others.

Regardless of the path you are taking, I would like to take this opportunity to wish you the very best for the future as you continue to build successful careers.

Yours sincerely,

Ed Mayo
